Article 2
The assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary and his wife Sophie was in the hands of the Black Hand. The Black Hand was a gang of criminals joined together by the government of Serbia. There goal was to kill the Archduke and his wife while they were visiting Serbia. The black hand was going to assassinate them while they were in a parade riding by car to a social gathering. The gang met up in a locale empty restrant. There they talked about and went over the plan. Each man would carry a gun or hand granade and also a small tube of poisen that would kill they instantley after they finished the job and committ sucide. All along the street that the Archduke would be driving down the men were spread out. The first man saw the car driving closer to where he was going to kill him so he took out his hand granade and at the right moment he threw it then drinking the poisen. The granade bounced right under the car, it was a perfrct shot but the first man did not realize that the bomb had a 10 second delay so it did not explode and miss the Archduke and his wife. The other men that were standing down the street and were suppos to finish the job if the bomb did not work were so shocked that they just looked at eachother while the Archduke just drived by. Unfortanatly the driver of the car turned the wrong way and one of the members of the black hand pulled out his gun and shot the Archduke and his wife and killed them. He then drank the poisen and tryed to commit sucide but the poisen was to old and no longer good so it failed. All the members of the black hand were put in jail.
